Online courses are incredibly convenient because they allow you to study whenever you want. The only problem that most people find with them is that they lack one-on-one time with the professor. This does not mean that your questions have to go unresolved. It just means that you have to put a tiny bit more effort into contacting the course instructor.
Here are some tips to help you get a hold of your instructor when youre taking an online class. Perhaps the most obvious way to contact a professor or essay writer working online is through email. For those of you who have been living under a log for your whole lives, email is just like snail mail but it is sent directly through the web. You most likely have some sort of email system setup through your college campus that you should use to talk with the professors. If you send them an email through Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo!, or something else along those lines, they may not respond to you. You can always have your campus mail forwarded to your standard email account if you worry about not seeing a response. Since I work online, I actually have all of my email accounts linked to a Gmail account so I dont have to log into 80 different email systems a day. You can set up the account so that you can actually write an email through a different email account so that no one knows youre forwarding the mail but you. This can give you the ideal access to your professor. Phone Phoning a professor is sometimes faster than talking through email, especially if you dont know how to fully describe whatever you are asking about. If youre going to call though, you need to make sure you call during the professors office hours. You should get that information in your course syllabus. You may call outside of office hours, but there is no guarantee you will get an answer. If you do get a response, it may not be a good one. Some professors are very picky about when they should and should not be bothered with phone calls. Instant Messaging Some professors will give out their IM information so students can chat with them. You could also check in your online classroom to see if there is a chat option there. Every setup is a little different, and you may not have instant messaging options at all. If you do though, you can have a conversation online quickly and easily. My husband used to talk to his Comp II professor through gchat all the time. Shes still on his contact list actually. Whats ironic is that she wasnt even an online professor, but hey, no complaints here. Video Chat You may be in an online class where you have to attend video seminars online. You could virtually raise your hand for a question then, or you could see if your professor uses a video chat system at all. Skype is one of the most popular system online, but there are others out there. If you can have a video chat with the professor, you should be able to ask any questions that you have as if you are having a direct conversation with the professor. Every online college student has questions, and you cant be afraid to ask them when they come up. The tips above should give you a few ideas as to how you can contact your professors in the future. This may lead to a better grade in the end.
